Job Summary: **Candidates must reside and hold a license in Delaware**. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice at the pinnacle of your profession from the comfort of your home. While most work will be remote, occasional on-site work at the central processing center may be required. You will play a vital role in implementing healthcare strategies and enhancing patient health outcomes. You will be responsible for executing patient-centered pharmacy programs and ensuring the delivery of clinical pharmacy services is compliant with regulations. Additionally, you will support pharmacy financial performance by optimizing reimbursements and improving patient health outcomes, all while processing prescriptions remotely. Building strong relationships with the medical community and acting as a representative for Walgreens is a key aspect of this position. You will also serve as a subject matter expert for fellow pharmacists and regional leaders while maintaining current knowledge of the pharmacy industry and required licensure.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Implement patient care programs including Medication Therapy Management, Immunization Services, and adherence programs to enhance patient health.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement in clinical pharmacy services through process evaluation, results analysis, and necessary changes.
  • Align business strategies to support regional pharmacy financial goals and maximize program execution for optimal performance.
  • Enhance the patient experience by focusing on healthcare services such as consultations, medication management, and disease state management.
  • Provide education, resources, and support to pharmacists and field leaders; promote teamwork and foster an environment of shared vision and integrity.
  • Conduct clinical and data reviews to ensure the appropriateness of medications and patient therapy.
  • Review patient histories and profiles to guarantee safe and effective drug therapy; provide personalized consultations.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to build trust with patients by actively listening to their concerns.
  • Deliver feedback on the effectiveness of the Customer Retention Program, highlighting patient consultation value.
  • Manage all inquiries and issues directly related to patient therapy.
  • Provide clinical advice and consultation to patients, healthcare providers, and insurers as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management in line with job responsibilities.
  • Follow established guidelines and procedures to achieve company goals while adhering to all company policies, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.

External Basic Qualifications:
  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD with a minimum of one year of experience in retail pharmacy.

  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Proficient in time management, prioritizing tasks, and tracking project details.
  • Experience in achieving goals independently and knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Skilled in providing excellent customer service and maintaining service quality standards.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as required for business purposes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Open to obtaining additional state pharmacy licenses if required.
  • Understanding of various insurance plans.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy operating systems such as Intercom, Promise, and Plus.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
