Contract: 6+ Months (Contract to hire)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist to lead and coordinate complex troubleshooting efforts across multiple teams, including implementation, engineering, development, and operations. This role involves resolving deployment-related issues in both test and production environments, performing risk assessments throughout the implementation lifecycle, and ensuring smooth transitions to live production.

You will collaborate with technical development resources and internal service teams to diagnose non-routine problems and implement effective solutions. Additionally, you will consult on projects involving existing applications, process flows, and operating systems, while installing and upgrading software releases in test and production environments. Reviewing new designs and enhancements for operational efficiency and interacting with stakeholders for data gathering and solution design are key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical troubleshooting efforts across cross-functional teams.
• Resolve deployment issues in test and production environments.
• Perform risk assessments throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development and client service teams to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Consult on projects involving applications, process flows, and operating systems.
• Install and upgrade software releases in test and production environments.
• Review new designs and enhancements for operational efficiency.
• Gather data and assist in solution design to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with ISeries/AS400 systems .
• 6+ years of experience with RPG programming .
• 3+ years of experience in banking operations or financial services environments .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DB2/SQL database structures .
• Strong knowledge of emerging technologies in financial data processing.
• Understanding of software and hardware interactions.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational and adaptability skills.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis.
• Availability to work weekends as needed
