We are seeking a
Senior Data Scientist with a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computational modeling to lead high-impact projects in financial data analysis. This individual will design and implement advanced models, guide junior team members, and work closely with product, engineering, and domain experts to deliver scalable, practical solutions for the world's leading institutional investors.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist .
- Develop and deploy sophisticated statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and AI techniques to extract insights from noisy, incomplete, and large-scale financial datasets.
- Own the full lifecycle of data science projects-from problem definition and feature engineering to modeling, validation, and production deployment.
- Translate mathematical and statistical theories into tools for forecasting, risk modeling, and portfolio optimization.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and financial experts to ensure models align with business and client needs.
- Present findings and recommendations to executives and client stakeholders with clarity and precision.
- Mentor junior data scientists and establish best practices for quantitative modeling and applied research.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data science or quantitative roles (finance experience strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to solve complex statistical and mathematical problems with imperfect datasets.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R, including advanced experience with data manipulation, ML libraries, and statistical modeling.
- Strong knowledge of probability theory, time-series analysis, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with financial data (market, alternative, or fundamental) and understanding of capital markets or risk modeling.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex results to technical and non-technical audiences.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and distributed computing.
- Familiarity with modern data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Published research or open-source contributions in data science or quantitative finance.
- Background in robust statistics, financial modeling, or private markets (a strong plus).
- Exposure to alternative assets and investment-related data science.
