Job Title: Remote Special Education Case Manager
Location: Remote (Serving schools in New Hampshire)
Employment Type: Part-Time 1099 Contract
Certification Required: Valid New Hampshire Teaching Certification in Special Education
We are seeking an organized and experienced Remote Special Education Case Manager to support the coordination and compliance of special education services for students in New Hampshire. This position is responsible for overseeing IEP development and implementation, collaborating with school teams, and ensuring legal compliance with IDEA and state regulations. The role is fully remote and requires strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage caseloads in a virtual school environment.
Serve as the primary case manager for a caseload of students with IEPs
Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings in collaboration with families, teachers, service providers, and administrators
Develop, write, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that comply with state and federal regulations
Ensure timely completion of evaluations, progress reports, and re-evaluations
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with New Hampshire DOE requirements
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and services
Collaborate with general education staff to support students in inclusive settings
Monitor service delivery and ensure that all related services are being implemented appropriately
Utilize virtual platforms for meetings, communication, and documentation
Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
Valid New Hampshire Special Education Certification (Required)
At least 2 years of experience in special education, with direct experience in case management
Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and New Hampshire special education laws
Experience facilitating IEP meetings and managing student records
Proficient in the use of technology for virtual collaboration, communication, and documentation
Reliable high-speed internet and secure home office setup
Familiarity with New Hampshires special education data system (e.g., NHSEIS)
Experience in a remote or virtual educational environment
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships virtually
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
