This is a fully remote position, with eligibility limited to candidates residing in the following states: MD, VA, DC (District of Columbia), NC, MA, FL, TX, GA, OK, OH, MO, TN, IN, and AL.
As a
Virtual Medical Assistant , you'll be the backbone of our clinical team, supporting physicians in delivering efficient and high-quality virtual care. Your day will be focused on preparing patients for their appointments and ensuring all necessary information is ready for the provider. This is a high-volume role, where you'll be instrumental in managing up to
24 patient visits a day . Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Patient Charts: Gather and organize patient information, including medical history, medication lists, and diagnostic results to ensure a smooth and efficient physician visit.
- Patient Engagement: Conduct warm hand-offs from call transfers, verify patient information, schedule initial visits, and prepare patients for their virtual appointments by confirming video and audio connectivity.
- Clinical Support: Document patient symptoms, record vitals, and coordinate with patients to arrange for lab draws and diagnostics. You'll also be responsible for communicating with providers and utilizing translator services when needed.
- Administrative Tasks: Schedule follow-up appointments, confirm appointments for the next day, and perform chart checks to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
We need a dedicated professional who is ready to hit the ground running. You'll be a great fit if you have:
- A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with a strong preference for experience in a cardiology setting and familiarity with related terminology.
- A proven ability to work in a high-volume environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience in providing virtual care to patients.
- Exceptional communication and people skills, with a passion for delivering an outstanding patient experience.
- A self-driven and flexible mindset, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technology and processes.
