Career Details - Color Match Technician

Ideal Candidate : Experienced in commercial color matching, helpful, positive, self-directed, team player with exceptional face-to-face customer service skills, bi-lingual English/Spanish. Respectful, professionalism.

Position Summary: Our Technician provides accurate color matches and on-time vial order fulfillment with courtesy. Smalley holds an emphasis on safety, accuracy, efficiency, and a positive attitude. Color lab equipment must be maintained and in operating condition.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday.

Shift: General hours 
  • 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Winter hours).

Compensation: Based on experience, knowledge, ability.
Annual Salary Range: $42,000 - $52,000.
Location: 601 East 64th Avenue, Denver, CO 80229.
Workforce: Under 25 employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurate Custom Stucco Matching.
  • On-time Order Fulfillment.
  • Proactively work with team and managers on assigned tasks.
  • Completes assigned tasks each day.
  • Assist Operations department such as warehouse and customer service, as necessary.

Expectations:

  • Safety: Daily machinery inspections.
  • Service: Customer satisfaction, timely order fulfillment. 3 days completion for custom stucco, vial orders fulfilled based on agreed period.
  • Teamwork: Supportive member of the Lab and other departments when available. Lab improvement ideas.

Qualifications:

  • Passing the Munsell Hue Test required. * (Specific vision abilities required for this job such as close, distance, peripheral and depth perception.) 
  • Forklift certification or willing to acquire if hired.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, directions, maps, instructions, manuals.
  • Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence, read and write English language.
  • Ability to concentrate and perform in a busy environment.
  • Must be an excellent communicator who enjoys assisting customers.
  • Commercial experience within a color lab highly preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse setting with outdoor exposure, noise level ranges from moderate to loud. 
  • Standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks/dollies, box cutters.
  • Office equipment such as computer, phone, printer.
  • Position requires physical demands such as walking, sitting, listening, speaking, lifting/carrying 50+ lbs. regularly.
  • Must properly wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when needed.
  • Lifting requirements such as 50 pounds boxes to height of 3-4 feet.
  • Occasional overtime when necessary.
