Senior Tax Accountant We are seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Accountant to join our well-established CPA firm based in Irvine, CA. This role involves a variety of diversified accounting and tax assignments, ensuring the candidate will engage with multiple facets of the business under professional supervision. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of meeting stringent deadlines while maintaining accuracy in high-pressure environments. This position requires in-office attendance with no option for remote work, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and direct collaboration within our business casual environment. Salary: DOE per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare payroll tax, sales tax, other local tax, and specific personal income tax returns. Compile comprehensive work papers and other accounting reports to support financial and tax records. Apply Internal Revenue Code and tax regulations effectively to client situations and prepare accurate financial documentation. Communicate current task progress to supervisors and take initiative in suggesting and implementing methods to improve task completion and organizational efficiency. Handle fairly complex high net worth individual returns and various corporate tax scenarios including S corps and fiduciary operations. Minimum Position Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in a licensed CPA firm (excluding internships). Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, unless presenting significant relevant experience in lieu of degree. Proven ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines. Complete work efficiently and accurately, with attention to detail in fast-paced environments. Mandatory residency within commuting distance to Irvine, CA, and authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification preferred. Extensive experience with S corps, fiduciary, and complex high net worth individual returns. Skills: Strong proficiency with computer use, including spreadsheet software programs. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and personal income taxes. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both verbally and in writing.
