Senior Appraisal Specialist

This position is remote, but you must have expertise in New Jersey appraisal markets. Candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance and have demonstrated competency in these local markets.

To qualify, you must be a CERTIFIED real estate appraiser in New Jersey. We only consider Certified Residential or Certified General appraisers; trainee or licensed appraisers will not be accepted.

ServiceLink provides the necessary computer equipment, and covers all licensure renewal and continuing education costs throughout your employment.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and should not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Generate desktop and field appraisal reports that meet client requirements.
• Conduct quality reviews of appraisals and manage quality control escalations.
• Review complex valuation reports for quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot and independently resolve complex quality control issues with field appraisers and lender clients.
• Support various valuation projects.

WHO YOU ARE

• Proficient in appraisal report development and effective communication.
• Skilled in Microsoft software products.
• Certified Residential or General Appraiser.
• Adept at working independently.
• Dedicated to creating high-quality appraisal deliverables.
• Passionate about appraisal innovation and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Complete high-quality desktop and field appraisal assignments within established turnaround times.
• Review complex valuation reports, including jumbo loans and unique properties.
• Engage with field appraisers to address and resolve complex or urgent revision requests.
• Independently resolve escalations by providing coaching to field appraisers and maintaining communication with clients.
• Stay informed about, implement, and comply with ServiceLink policies and procedures.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of USPAP, FNMA, and all relevant state appraisal regulations.
• Keep all licenses in good standing, attending required CEU courses.
• Ensure comprehension of ServiceLink's quality standards for appraisal report completion and delivery.
• Provide timely updates on assignments to promote excellent customer service.
• Exhibit professionalism in attire and demeanor during site visits.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Appraisal Certification (Residential or General).
• High School Diploma/GED required; college degree preferred.
• Experience in appraising a diverse array of property types.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft software products.
• Previous valuation experience with a major lender or AMC is preferred.
• Advanced designations are a plus.
