A Boston based private equity firm founded in the 2010s, the firm manages over $3 billion in assets and has a track record of exceptional exits to leading private equity groups such as Vista Equity, Francisco Partners, GI Partners, and Berkshire Partners.

With a lean team of approximately 20 professionals, they specialize in partnering with entrepreneurs to acquire profitable lower middle market companies, with flexibility to support $20–50 million buyout transactions and deploy additional capital through longer-term hold funds.

The firm is sector-agnostic, with a growing focus on technology — especially B2B software and tech-enabled services — and maintains a people-first culture rooted in supporting ambitious founders and operators.

Position Overview

Seeking a highly driven entrepreneurial investor to join the investment team, with a fast-track opportunity toward Vice President. This individual will play a central role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing new platform investments while working closely with the entrepreneurial CEOs the firm backs.

You will lead deal teams through the full lifecycle of transactions, from origination and diligence to close and portfolio value creation, in a collaborative, hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities

• Investment Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify high-potential search fund entrepreneurs and assess attractive lower middle market acquisition opportunities.
• Deal Execution: Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and transaction structuring for buyout investments.
• Operational Support: Partner with management teams and portfolio company CEOs to drive strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and value creation plans.
• Market Research: Conduct deep sector analysis, with a focus on B2B software and tech-enabled services, while remaining flexible across industries.
• Leadership Development: Mentor junior team members and build toward managing your own deal teams as you progress to VP.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, search fund investing, or related principal investing roles.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and transaction execution skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and appetite for hands-on involvement with portfolio company leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, lean team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
