Job Description

This part-time occupational therapy position supports a K-12 school environment serving a deaf and hard of hearing student population in Cambridge, MA. The assignment runs from September 29, 2025, through May 1, 2026, with potential for extension based on staff leave needs. The position offers between 12 to 16 hours per week supporting students ages 3 to 19.

Responsibilities include assisting primarily with evaluations and providing occupational therapy services tailored to the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This role requires flexible, compassionate, and skilled therapy delivery within a school setting.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • 1 to 2 years of school-based occupational therapy experience preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in home health, healthcare, or school settings
  • Interest in or experience with American Sign Language (ASL); willingness to participate in school-provided ASL lessons strongly encouraged
  • Ability to work effectively with students across a wide age range (early childhood through adolescence)
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative team mindset

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, K-12 school setting
Schedule: Part-time, 12-16 hours per week, from late September through early May
