PKG Operator 2nd shift
• Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Position Overview
This is a manufacturing laboratory position, not related to shipping or shipment packaging. The Packaging Technician is responsible for filling liquid antibodies and reagents into small vials in a laboratory/production environment using specialized lab equipment.

Responsibilities
• Fill and dispense liquid antibodies and buffers into customer-facing vials using pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances
• Learn and perform:
o Basic packaging and bottling processes
o Inventory and supplies management
o Bagging, labeling, and vial packaging
o Operation of labeling and packaging equipment
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals with a high degree of quality
• Independently organize work to meet departmental objectives
• Follow general instructions for routine tasks and detailed instructions for new tasks
• Stage, store, retrieve, and manage packaging materials and supplies
• Support technical manual and data sheet preparation
• Participate in daily shift startup meetings
• Accurately enter packaging and production data into SAP and/or other manufacturing systems
• Maintain compliance with all department SOPs and quality standards
• Follow BD Biosciences Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies
• Take responsibility for safety in immediate work area and report hazards or unsafe conditions
• Participate in EH&S programs and safety audits
• Perform routine cleaning of workstations and equipment
• Handle hazardous waste appropriately
• Perform manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products
• Maintain accurate documentation including batch records, device history records, and inventory counts
• Assist with inventory counts and production support tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
