About the Role We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented and highly motivated Legal Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to day operations of the legal department, streamlining processes, and ensuring efficient workflows. This individual must have excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities and a results-driven mindset. Responsibilities: Define and drive strategic and operational initiatives with on-time and on-budget results. Report on key operational and substantive metrics for the legal department that will better inform decision-making, including matter and work product analysis. Manage and maintain legal department technology and software systems. Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve the legal department efficiency. Coordinate and manage the legal budget, including tracking expenses and forecasting future needs. Act as a liaison between the legal department and other departments within the firm. Ensure compliance with the firm's policies and legal regulations. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, client services, compliance and other business units. Experience: BA/BS required, MBA or JD preferred 15 years of experience in a legal department, law firm, or relevant operational management experience. Financial background with an eye for analytics, as well as the ability to work closely with the Finance department. Demonstrated strong leadership communication and management skills Familiar with change management practices to facilitate transitions related to technology, processes and people.
