Job Description:
The Information Security Specialist is an experienced, highly motivated, and detail-oriented security professional. As a Information Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of security systems, tools, and alerts are completed by the Security Operations team. You will play a leading role in identifying, monitoring, and directing security incident response, defining and executing security assessments, and reporting on compliance with security policies and standards.Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Monitor, track, and report on security alerts and incidents to identify threats and vulnerabilities using common industry tools and process.
  • Perform live and historical triage, data collection, and analysis of security events with focus on prevention, technical, and human controls.
  • Lead incident response activities in coordination with the Sr. Manager, Security Operations based on established process and procedures.
  • Ensure routine security assessments and vulnerability scans on both new and existing systems and networks are completed.
  • Provide leadership and evangelism in vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Lead the deployment and management of security operations tools and technologies.
  • As a technical and process leader for the Security Operations team, review, advise on, and maintain logical security policies, procedures, run books, and knowledge articles in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop topical and timely security awareness training and education programs.
  • Lead and educate other team members during and after investigation and resolution of security incidents.
  • Perform escalation troubleshooting of logical security systems and infrastructure.
  • Generate after action reports, root cause analysis, and recommendations documents for leader visibility and awareness.
  • Support team abilities in antivirus support, management, monitoring, and event remediation.
  • Act as a leader in the information security landscape by monitoring and interpreting security intelligence, threat feeds, vendors, researchers, websites, newsfeeds, and other sources.
  • Participate in compliance report reviews and evidence gathering.
  • Participate in security on-call rotation.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of system administration, network, or security operations experience.
  • EC-Council Certified SOC Analyst (CSA), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) certification, Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Strong understanding of network security, mail flow, vulnerability management, and security principals.
  • Attention to detail, organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Troubleshooting, critical thinking, and logical investigative skills.
  • Experience as a technical leader in technical support team.
  • Use of command line tools such as SSH, GIT, SCP, Powershell, Bash, Python, or VBScript.
  • Secure identity management administration, audit, and investigation.
  • Significant experience with multiple security tooling system (SIEM, XDR, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of security operations, incident response, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Current Tier-2 or higher experience troubleshooting across various server, application, and network technologies including but not limited to:
    • Remote Desktop, SSH, FTP
    • Microsoft Server Technologies
    • VMWare and/or other virtualization technologies
    • Linux (or other *nix platforms)
    • VLAN's, ACL's, IP subnets
    • Networking and Switching concepts
    • Load Balancing
    • Firewall Configuration (Fortigate, Cisco ASA)
  • Supervisory or technical team lead experience within an information security team.

Benefits are subject to change at the Company's discretion.

Base Pay Range : Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $105,300 - $116,800 . However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate's experience, location, and qualifications.

Variable Pay : Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance.
