Overview

Human Factors Engineer 4 - COBRA role at Mission Technologies, a division of HII. This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HIIs Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Conducts studies in human/machine interaction (e.g., User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX)), equipment/facilities design, environmental design, and human performance assessment. Finalizes project deliverables and technical reports. Designs experiments and usability testing and oversees data collection and analysis of behavioral data. Knowledge of human cognition, including serial and parallel processing, visual perception, attention allocation, and reaction time. Supports organizational performance, product design, etc., including human factors integration, concept design and development, rapid prototyping, user testing, and qualification. Participates in all lifecycle phases, provides inputs to defining human factor requirements and systems integration, establishes and runs assessments, and generates qualification evidence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong understanding of system development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and propose effective solutions

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working in defense or intelligence environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Security+, PMP)
