Position Overview & Responsibilities: This internship provides hands-on experience and exposure to multiple areas of HR including onboarding, training and development, recruiting, employee engagement, and HR administration. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized, adaptable, and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Provide general administrative support to Christensen Farms HR team
  • Assist with recruiting efforts including posting jobs, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews
  • Participate in HR projects such as employee engagement initiatives, documentation and process improvements
  • Support with maintaining employee records and reporting as needed

Reports to:

  • Human Resources Manager

Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in HR Management or related field
  • Position must be able to handle high activity levels, rapid change and requests
  • Position requires demonstrated tact and diplomacy in handling highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Must use judgment in consistent implementation of policies and procedures, evaluation of potential employees, and other related areas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
