Job Title: CRA Mortgage Loan Officer - Louisville
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Mortgage
Hours of Operation: 40 to 45 hours per week, start and end times may vary
General Job Summary: Sell residential mortgage loan products through sales efforts focusing on low to moderate income areas and borrowers in Jefferson County/Louisville MSA.
Organizational Duties and Responsibilities: - Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies with all organizational policies and procedures.
- Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform essential duties and responsibilities within designated market of Jefferson County/Louisville MSA with an emphasis on low to moderate income areas and borrowers
- Work to achieve satisfactory CRA rating in designated market
- Aggressively pursue contact with individuals, realtors, builders, non-profit organizations, and advocates, to expand network contacts and relationships to generate sales
- Participate in business development activities outside of the office, such as realtor open houses, homebuyer seminars, financial literacy opportunities, church groups, trade shows, as well as community development activities
- Engage in marketing and promotional activities, such as lunch and learn presentations to groups and membership in civic organizations in an effort to generate sales
- Consult with customer to compile a fully completed loan application in order to meet compliance guidelines while negotiating terms and conditions
- Collect, compile and analyze information for acceptability for approval for loan product
- Communicate with clients and potential clients, answering questions and providing information, acting as the primary point of contact from sale to closing
- Work diligently with all of mortgage operations (Setup, Mortgage Compliance, Underwriters, Processors, and Closers) to facilitate a loan transaction
- Create a collaborative partnership with your processor to ensure an efficient and expedient loan process
- Expand partnerships as requested by the Director of Community Engagement and Outreach
- Keep Regional Lending Sales Manager abreast of all CRA projects and strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FHA, VA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac conventional loan rules, regulations and guidelines through a combination of educational classes, correspondence courses, on the job training and investor web sites
Other Functions: Other duties as assigned by the Regional Lending Sales Manager
Working Conditions: Employee is expected to perform duties with limited supervision. Due to the nature of this position, loan demand and customer convenience, employee is often called upon to work evening hours and weekends
Minimum Job Requirements: Education: High school/GED education, College degree preferred
Experience: 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience with FHA, VA, and conventional lending
Specific Skills: - PC Literacy with 35 WPM typing skills
- Knowledge of basic underwriting guidelines preferred
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to perform in high pressure situations
- Excellent sales and communication skills, negotiating skills and assertiveness
Licenses: NMLS
