As the Corporate Dietitian you will work within this dual-entity structure to ensure consistent, evidence-based, resident-centered nutrition services across all locations.
*Position Summary*
The Corporate Registered Dietitian will lead and oversee the nutrition and dietetics programs across all residential care communities (skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care) managed by CURA and Premier. This leader will ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements, develop and standardize nutrition protocols, optimize resident outcomes, coordinate with clinical leadership and facility management, and provide consultation, education and continuous improvement of nutrition services. The role involves strategic oversight, analytics, quality assurance, staff training, program development and travel between facility sites.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Develop, implement and maintain corporate-level nutrition and dietetics policies, procedures and standardized menus consistent with regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, state health department), accreditation and best practices for long-term care and senior living.
* Provide oversight and leadership to facility-based dietitians, nutritionists, dietary managers and food service staff — including hiring support, performance evaluation, mentoring and professional development.
* Monitor and analyze nutrition program outcomes (e.g., weight changes, malnutrition screening, diet order compliance, dining satisfaction, dietary cost metrics) and develop corrective action plans.
* Ensure each facility has appropriate nutrition assessments, individualized care plans, therapeutic diets, supplement usage, dining programs and nutrition-related documentation; support clinical teams to integrate nutrition into resident care pathways.
* Partner with clinical leadership (e.g., Director of Nursing, MDS Coordinator, clinical quality) to align nutrition strategy with overall resident care, rehabilitation, chronic disease management and wellness initiatives.
* Oversee menu planning and food service operations at a corporate level: review/approve menus, ensure cost effectiveness, nutritional adequacy, resident preferences, cultural/ethnic accommodations, safety/hygiene standards and supplier relationships.
* Provide training, education and ongoing professional support for facility dietary staff, clinical staff, and leadership on topics such as malnutrition prevention, dysphagia, advanced diets, culinary trends, food safety, regulatory compliance and resident experience.
* Lead and manage audits/inspections of nutrition services, food-service operations and supplier contracts; take an active role in preparing facilities for state surveys and regulatory reviews.
* Maintain budgeting, vendor/supplier analysis, cost-control tracking and nutrition-program ROI metrics; recommend improvements to enhance efficiency while maintaining quality and resident-centered service.
* Serve as corporate subject-matter expert on nutrition, and engage cross-functionally in quality improvement initiatives, resident-experience enhancement, dining program innovation, and wellness programming across the enterprise.
* Stay current on regulatory changes, senior-care nutrition research, long-term-care food service trends, technology tools (e.g., nutrient-analysis software, electronic diet orders) and communicate relevant updates to facility teams.
*Qualifications*
*Required:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
* Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential, with current registration.

* Strong knowledge of senior care nutrition challenges: malnutrition screening, dysphagia, renal diets, diabetes, purée diets, texture modification, weight management, therapeutic diet orders, dining/food-service operations.
* Demonstrated ability in menu planning, nutrition program management, cost-control and vendor relationships in food-service operations.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills; ability to train and mentor staff, influence cross-functional teams and work across multiple facility sites.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and project-management skills; comfortable with program metrics, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
* Willingness and ability to travel regularly to multiple sites across the state (Minnesota, likely).
* Strong commitment to the mission and values of dignity, respect, compassion and integrity.
*Preferred:*
* Master’s degree or additional certifications (e.g., Certified in Nutrition Support, Certified Dietary Manager, ServSafe Food Safety).
* Prior experience working in corporate or multi-facility senior care organization.
* Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and nutrition documentation software, dining/meal-service management systems.
* Experience leading or participating in state survey/inspection processes.
*Key Competencies*

* Strategic Thinking & Leadership: Able to design and implement enterprise-wide nutrition strategies.
* Collaboration & Teamwork: Works effectively across clinical, dietary, food service, operations and corporate teams.
