CAD Technician Type: 6 Month Contract (Right to Hire) Location: Canton, TX Work Setting: Onsite CornerStone Technology Talent Services (TTS) is hiring a CAD Technician to support drafting and design efforts for a construction-focused client. This individual will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings that support residential and commercial design-build processes. This role is ideal for professionals with AutoCAD experience who thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy translating field input into production-ready plans. Key Responsibilities: Create, revise, and maintain technical drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent software Translate field notes, redlines, and sketches into complete drawing sets Prepare site plans, floor plans, elevations, and cabinetry or structural details Coordinate with design and project management teams to ensure drawing accuracy Ensure deliverables comply with industry standards, codes, and permitting requirements Maintain clear and organized archives of all versions and drawing documentation Qualifications: 1–3 years of experience in drafting, CAD, or related construction design work Proficient in AutoCAD; Civil 3D or Revit is a plus Understanding of construction terminology, plan interpretation, and spatial layout Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation High school diploma or equivalent required; technical drafting certification preferred Preferred Skills: Familiarity with local building codes, permitting workflows, or zoning Experience drafting for cabinetry, millwork, or structural layouts Ability to support occasional field measurement or site plan confirmation To apply or learn more, contact jacks@cornerstonestaffing.com
