Position Summary: VASU is responsible for, among other things, providing direct services, resources, and referrals to victims of crime; ensuring grant awards administered by the OAG are properly expended; certifying and monitoring domestic violence/sexual assault programs and batterers intervention programs; and facilitating trainings for law enforcement agencies, certified programs, and other stakeholders to help better assist victims. VASU's Assistant Attorney General provides counsel to the unit's Director and its staff.

Applicants must be, or be eligible to become, licensed attorneys in the State of Oklahoma. Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills are required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in victim services.
